WINTER CAKE WITH CANDIED FRUIT

Le winter cake with candied fruits is a cake made from flour, butter, sugar, eggs, raisins, candied fruits, flaked almonds and baking powder.

Easy to prepare, soft and delicious, it is perfect for winter snacks.

Ingredients: 6 people
200 g of corn (or wheat) flour
200 g butter
200 g sugar
4 eggs
100 g raisins
50 g of cut candied fruit
50 g flaked almonds
1 c. to c. of baking powder

Preparation:

  • Work the butter at room temperature in a bowl with the sugar.
  • Separate the egg whites from the yolks and add the yolks to the butter mixture. 
  • Gradually add the flour. 
  • Work the mixture with the whisk at low speed until you obtain a smooth and uniform preparation. 
  • Add the washed and dried raisins and the diced candied fruit. 
  • At this point, gently add the whipped egg whites until stiff peaks form with the yeast. 
  • Butter and flour a 1,5 l cake tin and pour the mixture into it without reaching the edge. 
  • Sprinkle with flaked almonds.
  • Preheat the oven in static mode to 180 ° C.
  • Bake for about 40 min.
  • Go out and let cool.
