La 2-ingredient milk cream is a cream based on crème fraîche and cornstarch.

Very easy and quick to prepare, smooth and delicate, it can be enjoyed as a dessert with a spoon, enriched for example with chocolate chips and fruit or can be used to garnish cakes and desserts.

500 ml (2 cups) sweetened sour cream
60 g (1/2 cup) cornstarch
vanilla extract (optional)


  • Pour the cornstarch into a saucepan.
  • Gradually pour in the cream, stirring constantly with a whisk to prevent lumps from forming.
  • Add a drop of vanilla essence, put on the heat and heat, stirring continuously.
  • As soon as the cream thickens, turn off and remove from the heat.
  • Transfer the cream of milk to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let cool.
  • Use or serve.
