Le homemade strawberry syrup is a syrup made from strawberries, sugar, water and lemon juice.

Easy and quick to prepare, sweet, fresh and deliciously scented, it is perfect to quench your thirst during the day.

Ingredients: about 750 ml of syrup
600 g strawberries
350 g sugar
120 ml of water
1/2 lemon (30 ml juice)


  • Wash the strawberries without soaking them in water and dry with paper towels.
  • Remove the leaves and cut the strawberries into small pieces.
  • Transfer to a large bowl and add the sugar.
  • Also add lemon juice and mix well.
  • Cover and let macerate for about 4 hours, stirring occasionally at room temperature. If it is too hot, put in the refrigerator.
  • Once the standing time has elapsed, the sugar has completely dissolved, mix with an immersion blender.
  • Sift with a fine strainer to remove the seeds.
  • Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and add the water.
  • Stir then put on the heat.
  • When boiling, boil for about 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.
  • Stir to remove foam and pour hot syrup into sterilized glass bottles or jars.
  • To check the density of the syrup, do the saucer test by letting a teaspoon of the mixture cool on a saucer taken out of the freezer.
  • If by tilting it does not drip quickly, the syrup is ready.
  • Do not overdo the cooking.
  • Store in a cool place.
